Placement Exam

Taking the Placement Exam

If your state requires a placement exam in order to enroll in dual enrollment at Southeastern University, you will need to complete this exam before enrolling in any of SEU’s courses. You can find specific requirements by selecting your state below.

California

The state of California requires students to take an “Ability to Benefit” exam in order to enroll in Dual Enrollment courses. You can complete this exam by taking either the Accuplacer or Wonderlic test. Contact your site director to get a list of local testing centers where you can take the exam.

Ohio

To participate in Ohio College Credit Plus, the state of Ohio requires students to complete an assessment exam to indicate readiness for college-level coursework. You can complete this assessment by taking the Accuplacer, ACTSATALEKS, MapleSoft T.A. or PlaceU test. This does not apply to traditional dual enrollment.
